Sugar Coated presents the work of four artists – Emilia Auersperg, Sara Blosseville, Amanda Burzić, and Antonia Nannt – together in a space that is not yet fully complete: an under-construction hair-beauty-make-up salon with a gallery upstairs. Situated on Kastanienallee, between a mix of boutiques, cosmetic studios, and barber shops, the exhibition looks at our attraction to material things, the ways we adorn ourselves, and often externalized processes of transformation. Through the patterned glass window upstairs, visitors will glimpse a sparkling, candy-coloured display.
